History

Where is she from?

I have always wanted a toller. It's funny because I didn't ever want to own a golden retriever or a labrador retriever but I fell in love with the toller breed when I met them my freshman year of college. However the timing was never right for me to get another puppy because I had a senior dog and was raising guide dog puppies. However in summer of 2018, I convinced Jared to let us get another puppy and told him that I wanted a toller. We weren't seriously looking and had just started our search because we weren't in a hurry. My friend contacted me and said that she knew someone whose family had tollers as hunting dogs and they had a couple of puppies for pet homes. We got in contact and was able to meet them when they turned 5 weeks old. I fell in love with Maple as she was the most flashy and we were leaning towards a female. At 8 weeks old, June 1st 2018, we brought Maple home.

So to answer many questions, she is not from a registered breeder. The people I got her from only breed their dogs once to get a new hunting dog. Most her siblings went to hunting homes but we do not plan on hunting with her. And currently...

Maple is still really young but shows so much potential. We are still showing her all the sights and sounds of the world. She has already been on a lot of adventures and she will be a great adventure pup. I can't wait to take her swimming, hiking, camping, etc. I hope to have her do agility or some other dog sport!
